Tinker Hatfield’s First Sneaker Design

Posted by Michael Olajide on April 08, 2013

Came across a pair of trainers that a swagqed out Peter Pan might wear but are actually the legendary Tinker Hatfield’s first ever sneaker design. A long way from the Air Jordan and Air max series that we’ve come to know and love. “Shown here are the first shoes ever built by Tinker Hatfield, a 1980 design for his daughters. Even back then Tinker wasn’t focused on making your standard baby shoe, as the Swoosh adorned design featured a chunky toe to make the transition from crawling to walking an easier one.”
