Colchester Rubber Co.

Located a mere 50 miles from the YMCA where Dr. James Naismith developed the initial 13 rules of basketball, the Colchester Rubber Co. was one of the largest vulcanized rubber shoe manufacturers of its time, and its production of high-top basketball footwear predates that of any competitors' by a quarter of a century.

Red Wing

Red Wing was founded in 1905 by Charles Beckman in Red Wing, Minnesota. Mr Beckman saw a need for shoes specifically designed for the demanding work of the local industries such as mining, logging and farming. His aim was to make hardwearing durable footwear, that was also comfortable to wear. 

US Rubber Company

US Rubber Company, founded in 1892 paved the way for some of the biggest sneaker brands in the world to this date. The mass production of the sneakers during the start of the First World War allowed U.S. Rubber to uniform the U.S. army. Now manufactured in one of the oldest rubber factories in Europe, 2019 see’s the return of U.S. Rubber Company and its iconic military sneaker collection.
