Dubbleware - The Brand That Built America

Dubbleware - The Brand That Built America

Dubbleware relaunches at The Great Divide after over 60 years for SS19 and it's a brand which immediately caught our interest due to its heritage. Created in Boston by the famed manufacturer M Hoffman in 1924, Dubbleware was created to tailor for the every day man, making the highest quality workwear in a mixture of materials from Denim to Hickory to Chambrays. The brand featured heavily in Massachusetts up until the Second Wold War, and were one of the first of its kind in making Union Made Overalls, Coats and Pants.

Dubbleware built their image around the slogan 'Demand The Best' and their relaunch for SS19 is exactly that. The branding, from their logo to the rivets to the patches on the back of their jeans date back to the original and their quest to use the finest fabrics has led them to Japan for the finest cottons & Selvedge denims.

The Original Dubbleware Jeans Patch

Expect from Dubbleware a heavy influence from their archive, updated using a touch of lycra for a more modern fit and stitched in the old-fashioned way, using only Union Special machines. Its illusive history has brought a cult following in the vintage scene, and Dubbleware's new collection has become a firm favourite to the team here at The Great Divide.
