The Great Divide's Five Fire Fits

The Great Divide's Five Fire Fits

Prepare yourself for the harsh winters to come, with our full selection of outerwear that is capable of keeping you warm through some of the toughest conditions the world can throw at them.

We picked out five outfits from our new outdoors selection and paired them with a couple of our staff favourites at The Great Divide!

Outfit 1

One of our new arrivals is a colourful Pendleton jacket, the Horizon Cross Snap Front Coat. Made using Pendleton's exclusive jacquard design in their American mills and woven with pure virgin wool, this coat features a snap front closure, four exterior pockets and is lined for extra warmth. To stay in theme with the colourway of the coat, we paired it with the Stan LST in Burnt Orange. This jumper is a wardrobe essential, made from 100% cotton at 180gsm for warmth and the highest quality feel this long sleeve is built to last. We partnered them with the Dubbleware Avignon Carpenter Pant in Bull Denim, matching the cross’ from the jacket. The Avignon is Dubbleware's reiteration of their iconic Carpenter pant. Made using Japanese fabrics in a selvedge bull denim, the Avignon has a loose fit featuring trouser pockets, cinch back and a hammer loop for authentic reuse. For the shoes, we chose the Military Low Top in Off White from the iconic sneaker brand US Rubber Company, that relaunched this year and is part of The Great Divide's AW19 essentials.

Outfit 2

Our second outfit features two of our newest Manastash arrivals. The Polartech 200 Vest in Purple is a vest you want to wear all day, super comfy, super warm, made for the outdoors but also just as suitable at work. It is made from authentic Polartec fleece in a regular relaxed fit which makes it a fantastic layering piece. Paired with the Manastash Crew Long Sleeve Tee, that goes back to the brand’s roots as an outdoor brand. Made using an easy long sleeve tee, it’s a nice easy wardrobe staple for the season ahead. The jeans are Dubbleware's Kyoto Drop Crotch Japanese Selvedge Farmer Pant in Deep Blue, made using Japanese fabrics in a raw stretch selvedge, the Kyoto features a selvedge coin pocket, Dubbleware's archive copper rivets with a one-piece fly for ease of comfort. Finally, we matched this outfit with the 1892 National Treasure High Top in Deadgrass from Colchester Rubber Company, the faithful replicas of the first basketball sneakers invented in 1892. Perfect for Autumn.

Outfit 3

Introducing a couple of the newest Lady White Co. arrivals to The Great Divide, the Furry 1/4 Zip Pocket Sweater is our hero piece for the season. Coming in a classic silhouette with subtle detailing, this jacket is made from soft Japanese Wool, made exclusively for Lady White Co in Okayama. It includes a five-point pocket and comfortable brushed back fleece which is hand-sewn in Los Angeles with fine needlework. Our second Lady White Co. garment is the Long Sleeve Placket Polo in Taupe Fog, a full button-down shirt made in their custom interlock fabric which is 100% ringspun, American sourced cotton. Partnered with the 1300 Stan Fatigue in Woodland Ripstop, one of our Stan Ray favourites. These trousers are a modern working of the original fatigue. Made in the same style, but slimmer through the upper thigh and seat, with a slight taper down to the knee, but then straight from the knee down. Finally, we paired this outfit with Rover 2951 in Black, a lifestyle boot inspired by a hard-working pedigree. The Rover is a boot born from a legacy of long days in factories and fields. The 6-inch boot is extremely comfortable, thanks to its legendary Cushion Crepe shock-absorbing sole, first used by Red Wing in 1952.

Outfit 4

Here we have more Manastash arrivals for this winter! This outfit includes the Mt. Gorilla V Fleeced Jacket, to keep you warm in all circumstances, and the Corduroy Climbing Pant, made using a stretch corduroy with an elasticated waistband and integrated belt. For less chilly days, we added the Knickerbocker NYC Tube Tee, with illustrated NYC font by Ben Kocinski on the classic Knickerbocker Tube Tee, made of 100% cotton with a finished weight of 7 oz. Last but not least, we chose Viberg’s Hiker Mocha Oil Tan Roughout, featuring a whole-cut upper making it naturally waterproof and a distinct lace-to-toe system for support and easy access. This version is crafted from a heavyweight American sourced Oil Tan leather in a rich Mocha Roughout and comes with two styles of laces to give the boot a different aesthetic.

Outfit 5

This last cosy outfit features this winter must-have, the Polartec Bulky Smock Jacket in Light Beige by Woolrich, made of Polartec fleece, a lightweight, hard-wearing, moisture-wicking and fast-drying fabric. With a high collar, zip fastening, inset breast pockets and a drawstring waist, this jacket is high-performance and functional. Partnered with an everyday essential, the Surplus Henley in Aged Black, by Homespun Knitwear, and a pair of Painter Pants by Stan Ray. For the best comfort, we chose the True Pennyloafer, Quoddy's iteration of the iconic New England style that was invented in Norway but perfected in Maine. The Quoddy version is built the traditional way with handsewn true moccasin construction for a glove-like fit.
