Art Kane, born Arthur Kanofsky, is one of the most influential fashion and music photographers of the twentieth century. At a time where photography was focused on the past, Kane was only interested in what would happen next. This is apparent through his work with The Who, Bob Dylan, and The Rolling Stones. Talking about his own style of portraiture Kane says "You have to own people...grab them, twist them into what you want to say about them."
We take a look back at some of Kane's most iconic pieces of work at Snap Galleries in SW London.
