Deutsche Börse Photography Prize 2015
Posted by Ollie Irwin on April 21, 2015
Currently on at London's The Photographer's Gallery, is the annual Deutsche Börse Photography Prize. Started by the gallery in 1996, the prize is awarded to a body of work which has significantly contributed to photography in Europe during the competition year. This year two South Africans have been shortlisted, with Zanele Muholi documenting the LGBT community, and Mikhael Subotzky presenting a project on Johannesberg's notorious residential tower block, Ponte City, in collaboration with British editor Patrick Waterhouse. The winner will be announced at the end of next month. A must see.
