Wood Wood AW'13 - 'The Club'

Posted by Alex Bohea on September 03, 2013

Danish label and favourites here at The Great Divide store, Wood Wood, are back again for their A/W’13 collection entitled ‘The Club’. The collection for this winter is inspired by the different connotations of what a club is. For Wood Wood, this resulted in a mixture of simple but arresting visuals referencing cultures such as sports, bikers and the early punk scene. They combine this with a do-it-yourself aesthetic reminiscent of the punk culture in which they used ink, spray, markers, tape and photocopiers to create their imagery.

Wood Wood have always been one of those brands who manage to gel the blend of contemporary tailoring with technical sportswear sensibilities and get it just right, and with each collection, this pairing becomes even stronger. Evolving from the streetwear and graffiti scene into high fashion, designers Brian Jensen and Karl-Oskar Olsen have their cultural roots firmly cemented and this is visible in their latest, sub-culturally aware offering.

Some of our highlights of the collection are below, including the incredible Bogardus jacket and a highlighter of the collection’s aesthetic, the Outside sweatshirt. Take a look at some of the images below and keep an eye on the store for our drop of Wood Wood, which will be coming up in the next week. Be quick, as this is sure to go fast.
