Red Wing was founded in 1905 by Charles Beckman in Red Wing, Minnesota. Mr Beckman saw a need for shoes specifically designed for the demanding work of the local industries such as mining, logging and farming. His aim was to make hardwearing durable footwear, that was also comfortable to wear.
The 6" Classic Moc Toe is a true classic of American design & craftsmanship. Red Wing began making mop-toe boots in the 1950s for sportsmen, before farm and factory workers began to wear them for their comfort and durability. The design has remained the same ever since and has become perfectly suited to modern life blending comfort and style. This Moc Toe comes with Briar Oil Slick leather, which is water and stain resistant and exceptionally durable. All Red Wing Shoes are Made in the USA, and we would recommend pairing them with a lovely pair of American Trench or Pendleton socks.
