Gitman Vintage draw on the heritage of their father company to produce truly unique shirts. Each season they hand-select the finest prints, scouring the globe for diverse fabrics and taking inspiration from their own back catalog. Crafted in the USA and taking a modern inspiration on some classic styles.
One of two textile prints in Gitman's collaboration with the estate of renowned architect and designer Alexander Girard, Flores (1960) embodies Girard’s masterful use of colour and playful illustrative style. This print was originally developed by Girard during his tenure as the Head of Fabric and Textile Division at Herman Miller and has been used in countless applications from upholstery to wallpaper.
To continue Girard’s emphasis of quality craftsmanship, Gitman had Flores meticulously reengineered by one of our Italian partner mills on a summer-weight 100% cotton poplin. Each colour was matched to their original pantones and extra care was taken to ensure pigments hold fast and resist bleeding.
A perfect addition to any vintage inspired summer wardrobe! Crafted in Gitman's iconic Camp Shirt silhouette, which is cut & sewn in their Pennsylvania factory. It features an open collar, relaxed fit with a straight hemmed bottom designed to fall just at the waist.
