The Holy Cross Crusaders captured their first and only College World Series Championship to date in 1952. Pitcher James O'Neill led the way in the 8-4 victory over Missouri striking out 9. O'Neill won the tournament MOP (Most outstanding Player Award) by winning three series games. The Crusaders baseball team are currently members of the Patriot Conference and play their home games on Fitton Field in Hanover Insurance Park, Worcester, Mass.
