Baby Blanket - Wild Horses

Pendleton Homeware

Regular price £100.00

In 1909 Thomas L.Kay and his family moved to Pendleton in northeastern Oregon and took over the defunct Pendleton Woolen Mills and started there business there. Since then Pendleton has become renowned for their Native American inspired blanket designs and durable woollen shirts. Today the company is still owned by the family and all blankets are proudly made in Pendleton, Oregon.

The Pendleton Muchacho blankets are made especially for babies. They're made using Pendleton's softest and cuddliest wool, which of course makes them perfect for your child. These are a favourite for gifting, and can also be used on a sofa or a bed.

The Wild Horses baby blanket celebrates the famed wild mustangs that capture the spirit of the American West. The graceful creatures are descendants of horses brought to the New World by the Spaniards in the 16th Century. Native Americans saw them as spiritual or mythical figures, and many were later tamed and used by the Plains Indians. Today, fewer than 30,000 remain in the arid, rocky Great Basin areas of the western states of Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.
