Pendleton Brownsville Shearling Collar Coat - Sunset River
Our Pendleton Brownsville Shearling Collar Coat has been an icon in our collection over the past few winters. The coat is named for the Brownsville Woolen Mill, which was the first mill in the Northwest managed by our founder, Thomas Kay. Made in the Sunset River design in our famous jacquard wool, this jacket keeps you warm all winter long while being a timeless classic.
A Hopi legend tells of a boy who didn’t know his father. His Grandmother told him to ask Sun. The boy crushed shells and threw them into the sky to make the Milky Way, and followed it to Sun’s house. “Who is my father?” he asked. Sun frowned. “You have much to learn.” The boy fell back to Earth. He sailed a cottonwood box to where two rivers join. A rattlesnake joined him and they traveled west to the sunset, where a meteor fell into the sea. They asked it for a ride to Sun’s house. Again, the boy asked, “Who is my father?” Sun smiled. “I think I am.”
