Timberland are the pioneers of working class footwear and the iconic boat shoe. Founded in 1952 by Nathan Swartz in Boston, Mass, the product that set them on their global journey was the iconic "Yellow" 6 inch boot. This was adopted by both the outdoor world and the emerging inner city fashion revolution, started on the East coast of the USA in the 80's. 

Here are TGD we have an affinity with the famous boat shoe. This began in 1978 as a hand stitched upper combined with a rugged boot outsole made the 3 eye Lug.
