HOW TO MEASURE

JACKETS/SHIRTS/TEES

For the most accurate fit, start with a jacket or shirt you already own and love.
Lay the garment flat on a hard surface and take all measurements in centimetres. Match these against our size chart and, if you’re between sizes, we recommend rounding up.

Measurement Guide
  • A. Chest: Measure straight across the garment from armpit to armpit, 1” below the armpit.
  • B. Body Length: Measure down the centre back, from the base of the neck to the hem.
  • C. Sleeve: Measure from the shoulder seam down to the cuff.
SHORTS/PANTS/TROUSERS

For the best fit, start with a pair of pants you already own and wear regularly.
Lay them flat on a hard surface and take all measurements in centimetres. Match your measurements to the size chart and, if you’re between sizes, we recommend rounding up.

Measurement Guide
  • A. Waist (Stretched): Measure straight across the waistband at its maximum stretch.
  • B. Outseam: Measure from the top of the waistband down the outer leg to the hem.
  • C. Front Rise: Measure from the top of the waistband down to the crotch seam at the front.

A craze was started in the early 1900s by a man with the last name of Brown creating a product he called Brown's Beach Cloth Jacket. He originally made the jacket for the intense Northeastern Winters, but pretty soon many different customers throughout the USA wrote in to ask to buy his jackets. Before long he was making vests, hats, and many other items out of his famous fabric. It was knit tightly on the outside, and brushed on the inside for warmth. It could get wet and still block the wind and keep you warm - it was a pretty miraculous fabric. The craze lasted well into the 1930s and 40s where it wasn't uncommon to even see the vests and jackets with the signifiable pocket styles on surfers on California beaches.

The Wythe Beachcloth Vest is now offered in the original marled brown as well as an exclusive evergreen color, with a few fun new details like Antiqued Steer Snaps and a more modern and refined cut. Wythe kept the traditional pocket ideas and removed the back belt in favour of some snaps to keep the sides in shape.

. 70/30 Wool and cotton blend.

. Japanese sourced fabric.

. Custom steer snap closures.

. Four pocket front detail.

. A simply stunning piece.

. Standard, regular fit.
