Cubitts
Cubitts was founded in King’s Cross, London, in 2013, with the belief that spectacles should be loved, not tolerated. Wanted, not needed. That poor eyesight is a blessing, not a curse. Cubitts was named after three brothers. Engineers and architects, they made buildings people loved. The youngest brother was called Lewis. Among newly arrived fountains and brunch spots, his wrought iron rivets still punctuate the King’s Cross ground. You’ll find that same rivet in the corner of a Cubitts frame, a structural bond that holds the spectacles together. Like Lewis, we use it only where it serves a purpose. The humble rivet. More than a logo, it’s the keystone and foundation of Cubitts. Here at TGD we are one of only a tiny handful of retail partners to be a stockist of this amazing British brand.
