Miami Beach Flamingos Cotton Ballcap
Founded in 1988, Ebbets Field Flannels have become renowned for their ability to manufacture exact replicas of genuine mid-Century American sportswear apparel. Inspired by lesser-known independent league teams and dedicated to using original materials and techniques, Ebbets Field Flannels are committed to staying faithful to original designs and have grown to become the finest producer of vintage American baseball attire.
The first Flamingos team ceased operations along with the rest of the Florida East Coast League in 1942 due to wartime manpower shortages. The Flamingos resumed operations after the war, this time as members of the Florida International League. Pepper Martin led the Flamingos to an impressive 63-39 record. Jesse Levan led the league in hits, batting average, and home runs. After he left Miami Beach, Levan was involved in a betting scandal in the Southern Association, accused of tipping pitches to opposing players.
